Originally opened in 1894, this historical treasure is in the heart of the diverse and vibrant downtown South Orange. The architectural design celebrates and highlights different aspects of the original building. The new design focuses on incorporating a hospitable warmth while introducing contemporary comfort, mixing old and new expertly. Felina South Orange brings a bold and timeless aesthetic, blending vintage charm with a modern edge. The ceiling design nods to the iconic Tavern on the Green in Central Park, creating a warm ambiance. Rich brickwork and striking blue limestone bands take inspiration from The Boathouse, adding a sophisticated feel. The bar, wrapped in intricate mosaic tile, draws influence from the breathtaking ceiling of Bethesda Fountain’s tunnel.
