Corey and Chelsea at the Stone House

Cory and Chelsea Francis 8/9/19

The Lodge at the Stone House at Stirling Ridge

Cory and I met through mutual friends Memorial Day Weekend of 2015. We met and instantly felt connected! We fell in love and never looked back. We moved in together just before our one year anniversary and it was the best decision we made. Cory proposed to me in Disney World and when we returned we began our venue search. I had always envisioned a rustic venue, but Cory was sure he did not want to get married in a barn. When we came across the Stone House, Lodge at Stirling Ridge, we absolutely fell in love. It was the perfect balance of rustic and modern. It was imperative the property was beautiful for pictures outdoors for our summer wedding, the dance floor had to be big enough, and that a s’mores station was possible! The Lodge at the Stone House provided us with everything we wanted, and more. As we toured the property we fell more in love. The patio at the restaurant with the vintage mirrors and twinkling lights, along with the fire pits made us sure this was the place we wanted to get share our special day with our friends and family, and also have a wonderful place to return and celebrate our anniversaries in the years to come to relive the best day of our lives! We toured with Bonnie and were hooked. We had her send us a contract that same day! The year leading up to the wedding was easy. Bonnie made the process seamless and stress-free.

Our wedding day was absolutely perfect. One of the most special moments from our wedding day was sitting in the bridal suite with trays of food from cocktail hour and just enjoying those few moments together as husband and wife! We stepped out on the dance floor as the new Mr.  & Mrs. Francis and danced our first song to Better Together by Jack Johnson. It was perfect. Our wedding day was everything we wanted and more. I was looking for a rustic/whimsical theme and that is exactly what I got! My best recommendation is to utilize Pinterest as much as possible and share your vision with your vendors. Use their experience to bring your vision to life! The day is over in the blink of an eye and the big things people remember are location, food and music! The Stone House made sure we had nothing to worry about regarding food and location, so once I nailed down the music I felt very confident the day would be perfect!
