As we begin to transition into spring, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on the past winter wedding season at Stone House. While many couples may not consider winter dates in planning their weddings, those that do see the magic this season has the potential to bestow upon their special day. Whether it be photos brought to life by a serendipitous dusting of snow, guests gathered around a fire pit toasting their scotches and their s’mores, or even just the opportunity to wear some sparkles and some fur, there is no wrong reason to love a winter wedding!
This past year saw some standout trends- naked cakes, rectangular tables with light grey linens, and green garland centerpieces were all a great look in our rustic space – each couple I had the pleasure to work with this winter found a new way to embrace the season and make their wedding not only memorable, but all their own… from roaring fires in the fireplace, to Yetti Centerpieces, and lots of greens and lanterns.
While this winter brought us so many beautiful moments – and so much beautiful snow – I am now ready to wish it farewell! They say every ending is a new beginning and nothing feels more like that to me than the blooming flowers, greening grass, and shining sun of spring. I can’t wait to see what the coming season has in store- the stunning cherry blossoms at last week’s event were the perfect preview- and look I forward to working with all of the lovely wedding couples to help us bring on spring here at the Stone House!
